Youth Perspective
"During the toy drive, I remember seeing families living in less-than-ideal situations but were so excited to see Santa and received toys. During STAR Camp, the campers would tell me that this was their first time seeing a horse, eating a s’more, seeing a campfire, or even being to a summer camp. To something as little as the Halloween Trunk or Treat where giving out candy to the community and seeing the often forgotten population have that small moment of happiness and relief. Because i know too well how hard these families, including my own, work every day to give their kids the opportunity have an education, a better life, or even just to make ends meet."
